Welcome to The Olive Tree Method, a product of Owl House Industries Ltd ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using this website (theolivetreemethod.com) or purchasing any of our products, you agree to these Terms of Use.

2. Who We Are

The Olive Tree Method is owned and operated by Owl House Industries Ltd, a New Zealand registered company. Our products are designed to support people-first leadership development for individuals and organisations.

3. Our Products

The Olive Tree Method e-book, Leadership Self-Assessment, online tools, templates, and associated materials (collectively “the Products”) are digital products available for purchase via our online store. Products include access to live Zoom support sessions as described at the point of purchase.

 

By purchasing a Product, you are granted a personal, non-transferable licence to use the materials for your own individual or internal organisational development. You may not:

• Reproduce, copy or distribute our content commercially

• Share, resell or redistribute the Products or any part of them to third parties

• Present the method or materials as your own work

• Use the content to create competing products or services.

 

If you would like to use our materials in a broader capacity (such as for training, facilitation or organisational roll-out at scale), please contact us to discuss licensing options.

 

4. Intellectual Property

All content on this website and within our Products, including text, design, frameworks, templates, brand names, and the Olive Tree Method itself, is the intellectual property of Owl House Industries Ltd and is protected by copyright. The Olive Tree Method name, tagline (“Improving Performance Through People-First Leadership”), and associated branding are the property of Owl House Industries Ltd. Nothing in these terms grants you ownership of any of our intellectual property.

 

5. Not Professional Advice

The Olive Tree Method and all associated materials are provided for educational and development purposes only. They do not constitute legal, psychological, HR, financial or professional advice of any kind. We recommend seeking qualified professional advice for any specific legal, HR or organisational challenges you face. We accept no liability for decisions made based on our content.

 

6. Zoom Support Sessions

Where your purchase includes live Zoom support sessions, the following conditions apply:

• You are responsible for scheduling your sessions within a reasonable timeframe after purchase.

• Sessions are non-refundable once booked.

• If you need to cancel or reschedule, please email josey@theolivetreemethod.com no less than 48 hours before your scheduled session with the subject line: CALL CANCELLATION - [date and time].

• If you do not attend your session or cancel with less than 48 hours’ notice, the session is forfeited.

• Sessions not scheduled within 12 months of purchase may expire at our discretion.

 

7. Refund Policy

Because our Products are digital (downloadable e-books, tools, and assessments), we are not able to offer refunds once a Product has been accessed or downloaded. This is consistent with consumer protection guidelines in New Zealand and Australia.

 

If you have purchased a Product but have not yet accessed or downloaded it, you may request a full refund within 7 days of purchase by contacting josey@theolivetreemethod.com. Please include your name, the email address used for purchase, and your order confirmation number.

 

If you are genuinely unhappy with your purchase, please contact us. While we may not be able to provide a cash refund, we will always explore what we can do to support you.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by New Zealand law, Owl House Industries Ltd is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss or damage arising from your use of our website or Products. We make every effort to ensure our content is accurate and up to date, but we make no warranties or guarantees about the results you may achieve from using our Products. Your results will depend on your own effort, circumstances, team environment and implementation.

 

If you experience a technical issue, such as a file that will not open or content that appears incomplete, please contact us immediately and we will resolve it promptly.

 

9. Your Responsibilities

You agree to use our Products in good faith and in accordance with these terms. You agree to indemnify and hold Owl House Industries Ltd, its directors and representatives harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your breach of these terms, any violation of applicable law, or your misuse of our Products or content.

 

10. Third-Party Services

Our website and Products may include links to third-party websites or reference third-party tools and resources. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy or practices of those external sites. Where third-party platforms (including Stan Store) are involved in processing your purchase, their own terms and policies also apply.

 

11. Privacy and Data Security

We comply with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 and aim to align with international privacy standards including the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and GDPR. We will not sell, rent or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

 

Where our Products include access to password-protected member content, we use commercially reasonable measures to restrict unauthorised access to our systems and files. However, no internet-based system, whether password-protected or otherwise, can be entirely impenetrable. By accessing our member content, you acknowledge that it may be possible for an unauthorised third party to access, view or copy materials stored within that system, and that use of password-protected areas is at your own risk. We will notify you promptly if we become aware of any breach affecting your data.

12. Social Media and Community Engagement

The Olive Tree Method maintains a presence on social media platforms. The following applies to any engagement with our social media content:

 

When you comment on, share, or otherwise engage with our content on social media platforms, you retain ownership of your own words. However, by engaging publicly with our content, you grant Owl House Industries Ltd a non-exclusive, royalty-free right to acknowledge, respond to or reference your public comments in good faith as part of our community engagement.

 

We reserve the right to:

• Moderate, hide or remove comments that are offensive, abusive, discriminatory, defamatory, or otherwise inconsistent with our community values

• Remove content that infringes third-party intellectual property rights

• Block or restrict users who repeatedly violate these standards.

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts. If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Any changes will be posted on our website with an updated date. Continued use of our Products after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
